Does This Sound Familiar?
Feeling like you’re on a rollercoaster with food?
"You don't need more discipline. You need the right tools. That's what I'm here for."
-
"You eat perfectly all day, then it all falls apart by evening."
The restrict–reward loop is a nervous system pattern, not a character flaw. And it can be changed.
-
"You can't stop thinking about food. What you ate, what you shouldn't."
Mental food fatigue is real and exhausting. It robs you of the bandwidth you need for everything else in your life.
-
"You know it's not really about food. But you don't know how to stop."
You're right — it's not about the food. And that's exactly why diets have never worked for you. The answer is deeper.
-
"You don't recognise the person in the mirror anymore."
Midlife hormonal shifts affect your hunger signals and your relationship with yourself. This is workable.
About This Work
This isn't a willpower problem. It's a hormonal + nervous system one.
You're smart, self-aware. You've read the books, done the programmes, tried the intermittent fasting and still find yourself at the fridge at 10pm – not even hungry.
This isn't your fault. It’s that your body is seeking safety, comfort and pleasure the easiest way it knows how – food.
"I'm Jenn. I help women in midlife heal their relationship with food using CBT, somatic tools and tailored nourishment to get mood, mind and body feeling like the best version of you. Best of all, food obsession stops, the guilt lifts, and you get your mind and body back. No dieting, just a strategy so you finally feel free."

"I’ve always had a problematic relationship with food and body. I came to Jen thin, stressed and obsessed with exercise. She opened my eyes to the core issues behind my controlling habits, and led me through deep practices that rebuilt my self-trust. Now I relate to food, pleasure and my body so differently. "
"After 8 weeks I genuinely forgot to think about food at lunch. I didn't notice until later — and that's when I cried."

Nervous System & Somatic

Meet Jenn
I found a way out. Now I’m helping others find theirs.
I'm Jenn Carr — certified behavioural eating psychology coach, and founder of Mind & Plate. My own journey from food obsession and hormonal chaos to true mind-body to freedom is the foundation of everything I teach.
I work with women in midlife. Powerful women. Accomplished women. Women who also ask Chat GPT, “why don’t I feel like myself anymore?” The ones navigating major hormonal shifts, running out of patience with their fluctuating weight, and dealing with perimenopausal volatility. These same women are ready to stop fighting food and start living.
