Does This Sound Familiar?Feeling like you’re on a rollercoaster with food?
"You don't need more discipline. You need the right tools and right support. That's what I'm here for."
-
"You eat perfectly all day, then it all falls apart by evening."
The restrict–reward loop is a nervous system pattern, not a character flaw. And it can be changed.
-
"You can't stop thinking about food. What you ate, what you shouldn't."
Mental food fatigue is real and exhausting. It robs you of the bandwidth needed for everything else in your life.
-
"You know it's not really about food. But you don't know how to stop."
You're right — it's not about the food. That's why diets have never worked for you. The answer is deeper, (and often nervous system-based).
-
"You don't recognise the person in the mirror anymore."
Midlife hormonal shifts affect hunger signals and your relationship with yourself. But perimenopause is workable – and a threshold.
About This WorkThis isn't a willpower problem. But it could be a hormonal, emotional + nervous system one.
You're smart, self-aware. You've read the books, done the courses, tried intermittent fasting and still find yourself staring into the fridge at 10pm – not even hungry.
This isn't your fault. It’s your body seeking safety, comfort and pleasure the easiest way it knows how – food.
Hi. I’m Jenn. I’m a Barcelona-based coach specialising in eating psychology. I support women in their teens all the way up to midlife. The common theme with every client is a lack of self-trust around food, often playing out in all-or-nothing eating, excessive control, excessive exercise, bingeing, purging, and – frequently – orthorexia disguised as extreme “self-care”.
My approach is as nuanced as each client, but smart nutrition, eating psychology, somatic tools, focused assignments, and compassionate support are foundational tools to help women cultivate a calm, confident relationship to food and their body.
"This work is not about another diet plan. It’s about learning how to be in relationship to your body, its needs and messages, and building a framework for nourishment that feels freeing and flexible."

Real Voices · Real ShiftsThis work is gentle, and powerful.
"I’ve always had a problematic relationship with food and body. I came to Jen thin, stressed and obsessed with exercise. She opened my eyes to the core issues behind my controlling habits, and led me through deep practices that rebuilt my self-trust. Now I relate to pleasure and my body so differently. "
"Jen asked me something really powerful in our first session that stayed with me: “do you want to feel lighter?" This shifted a big block for me mentally about weight loss and self-love, and gave me the space to consider a new possibility for myself. I did indeed become lighter”.
I began working with Jen during a challenging chapter, when chronic illness was really impacting my relationship with my body and food. She helped me disentangle myself from diet culture and regain the self-trust to honour my body’s real needs.
I cannot thank her enough.”
"The biggest game changer was finally learning how to communicate with my body – not as my enemy, but as part of me, with needs and desires, With Jen I learned to dialogue deeply with my body, which gave me way more ownership and sense of power. "
"To anyone embarking on this journey with Jen, I welcome you to one of the most transformative experiences of your life when it comes to your relationship with your body.
Be ready; this coaching involves opening the Pandora’s box that many women (me included) spend years avoiding. What’s on the other side though, is so worth it.”
”I came to Jen as a serial dieter, and occasional binger. Working with Jen, I learned many new mindfulness tools to know my true hunger cues vs. emotional cravings. Working with Jen changed my life, and I still use her practical tools daily. For anyone who’s thinking of working with her – 100% do it.”

Meet JennI found a way out. Now I’m helping others find theirs.
I'm Jenn Carr — certified Behavioural Eating Psychology coach, and founder of Mind + Plate. My journey from food obsession and hormonal chaos to embodied eating and hormone harmony is the foundation of everything I coach.
I work with women in midlife. Powerful women. Accomplished women. The same women who ask Chat GPT, “why don’t I feel like myself anymore?” The ones navigating major hormonal shifts, running out of patience with their fluctuating weight, and dealing with perimenopausal volatility.
These same women might have lingering food insecurities and now at 40, realise dieting neither supports their hormones, weight or psyche. Midlife is an invitation to heal it all at the root. And finally, befriend your body as the greatest ally you’ll ever have.
